New PUR Contour Bander

Fletcher has developed our latest version of the Contour Bander. Incorporating the latest PUR equipment from Nordson. The Nordson Purblue 4 is a 2 KG Melter connected to the Nordson EPC 60 pattern control to a Nordson EB 60 Slot die head. Fletcher adapted our FM 2000 contour bander with PLC strip length control and power assisted feed wheel. The machine is being shown for the first time at the AWFS 2011 show in Las Vegas.
The machine applies the PUR glue directly to the banding material. Banding length is programmed into the PLC and the foot pedal starts the cycle. The Nordson unit is sealed, therefore daily purging is not required. No More Bands Falling Off! PUR adhesive is applied like a traditional hot melt; PUR adhesive is a moisture-activated glue that crosslinks and creates a permanent bond.
