Elektror Blowers now in Stainless Steel

Elektror Blowers now in Stainless Steel

Product News Wednesday, August 10, 2011: Dometrics, Inc.

Highest resistance to aggressive materials and humidity. There is a large number of applications in air technology where blowers convey specific media or where there are high standards in terms of cleanliness.

These specific areas include amongst others:

  • Industrial washing plants
  • Pharmaceutical industry
  • Food industry
  • Process engineering

In these or similar application areas the blower is partly or in some cases even permanently in contact with aggressive materials, such as acids, and humidity. The same process applies here for both the conveying of aggressive media and the intensive cleaning of the blower with acidic cleaning agents. To achieve a long service life despite this hard material stress all blower parts that come into contact with the media need to be particularly durable in these specific cases.

Stainless steel - an extremely resistant material

Stainless steel is resistant to water, steam, humidity, food acids, as well as weak organic and inorganic acids, also provides very good anti-corrosive protection at a high level of humidity and, in addition, has antibacterial properties.

We present: Our first stainless steel range

We already produced stainless steel blowers for some of our customers in the past but so far only for specific projects. Now we present on the Hanover trade fair from 4 - 8 April 2011 our first stainless steel range which already comes on the market at the end of this year.

The new range is based on the Elektror medium pressure blowers of the RD range, which have been only available as standard in aluminium cast design so far. Also concerning performance range and characteristic curves the extremely resistant and rust-proof stainless steel devices are similar to this range. With pressure increases to approx. 4000 Pa and volumetric flow rates of up to 60 m³/min most required air handling work areas in the relevant industries and branches can be covered - additionally of course also customized solutions in stainless steel design are possible.
